[SPEAKER_01]: It's impossible to get an appointment for one.

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, but if I go and renew that, I still have to wait because some other people haven't renewed their driver's license like that's true.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's like a worker shortage here, whatever, so later.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's terrible.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know it's funny.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so like it's a long story short like so my license expired back in March and then I was trying to go I went to the DMV and then I asked if I can do it They said that you can you can only the only due reservations and the next time they did were able to do the reservation was five months from the time I did that so I was like so what did you tell me?

[SPEAKER_02]: Tell me I can't drive I can't ride my drive a thing I have to drive with an expired license and then they're like saying well

[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, yeah, so I was like, okay, fine, because I'm not going to do any extra stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: They said that are going to the next town over and see if they have better availability.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, I'm not doing all that for a driver's license.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to ride dirty for a bit.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I love it, but I made it into brick and a law, you know.

[SPEAKER_02]: If they were serious about it, then they should not have given me an that situation to do it.

[SPEAKER_02]: So that's all I'm saying, so I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're about to get anonymous tip, unless I get an anonymous tip.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's too late, I mean.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's too late because I don't think it's going to be my duty as a civilian here.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm still going to use cream in the monster truck because that's the mean.

[SPEAKER_01]: But extreme gear is pretty cracked right now.

[SPEAKER_01]: And let's say like listen to people line about it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then they nerfed it.

[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't nerf the power cars, which is why I'm still using the monster truck.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if extreme gear stays the same, that'll be my secondary vehicle choice.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it'll be cream on a board.

[SPEAKER_02]: That sounds, that can go too waste.

[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what pop?

[SPEAKER_02]: What do you know the the other person who is going to be the next Marvel rivals not rivals.

[SPEAKER_06]: To be honest, I can't believe that wasn't a topic for today.

[SPEAKER_06]: Packed to us was awesome like we talked about so reconnected with those friends made new friends You know got to speak with the devs and try out a bunch of different games so it was fantastic Seattle still super hilly so I was proud of us for doing a lot of walking And whatnot and just kind of getting back into the swing things my work schedule like I was saying has been absolutely bonkers so

[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's going to kind of settle down here in the next couple weeks, so I'm just kind of head down So kind of doing that stuff and whatnot playing some games on the side here Uh, you know, obviously we got into the Marvel token fight itself beta Played that a little bit yesterday Um, what else if I'm playing?

[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, uh, be my hoard

[SPEAKER_06]: That's I got into that beta spoke with the devs there.

[SPEAKER_06]: I absolutely love that game.

[SPEAKER_06]: Got some other games I need try out as well.

[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, just kind of doing things getting back at the swing of things football's back falls around the corner and means birthday celebrations, spooky time and all that good shit.

[SPEAKER_06]: So.

[SPEAKER_02]: Nice.

[SPEAKER_06]: So we're at.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Good deal then.

[SPEAKER_06]: I got the control review, which I'm almost done with that.

[SPEAKER_06]: Like you said, it's just a lot of content, but totally worth it going through it and being able to get it out there and talk about the stuff and whatnot.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing a video of all the, like right now, I'm making a video for all the games that I played and also like the best, some of the best underrated games like indie games.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're at the, uh, at the show.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just, you know, enjoying this, the gaming environment has this been a lot of good, you know, it's been a negative news here, and there's been a lot of games coming out that I've been interested in trying.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've been play testing a whole bunch of games that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think our potential to be, you know, not the next four night killer because everybody does that, you know, I'm not going to, I don't expect these devs to go on stage and say this will kill Call of Duty, like, you know, somebody people.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, we call it, we call it what it is.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a two red.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's, it's been great.

[SPEAKER_04]: Currently, I'm waiting for a king of meat, you know, me town be down, you know, got to play that and some of games for us.

[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, so it's like a, it's like a critch or own dungeon, uh, type game where you create these kind of like Mario Maker, but it's really, you know, everybody can create the little maps different power ups.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is, I don't know, different weapons.

[SPEAKER_04]: He just go in and try to complete it, you know, and get so it's pretty cool.

[SPEAKER_04]: They have a discord.

[SPEAKER_04]: They've had people play testing and like creating maps and stuff.

[SPEAKER_04]: for a while now and it's Amazon Games Studio, a small team and so yeah they're waiting on that and all the other games coming out you know so that's good.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah what's actually kind of fun is like they're actually seem like Amazon is I'm starting to go kind of small because you remember when they first went out the gate with the what's it called Lost Ark and what's the name of the other thing?

[SPEAKER_02]: Huh?

[SPEAKER_02]: Was it crucible?

[SPEAKER_02]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the crucible is the game that everyone wants to forget about.

[SPEAKER_02]: That was the game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I can't say that next to me was that I have too many hours in crucible.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was a theft of a crucible for years.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: I lived in that discord every day.

[SPEAKER_02]: That game was so disaffointingly bad.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like, like, when it came out there, that was like, that was the concord of its time.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's actually so.

[SPEAKER_02]: It felt like.

[SPEAKER_04]: It was it was it brought a whole bunch of great people together.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying yeah, the community was good But it was just that they just just didn't click, man.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a mark.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, but that's a hard genre Yeah, but it's hard genre.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I remember they were trying going hard with these big triple A's level of studios But then all of a sudden then they kind of dialed it back quite a bit, you know, and now the besides What I forgot the name of the MMO lost arc not lost arc

[SPEAKER_02]: new world thank you yeah new world yeah yeah yeah so but yeah no it's cool it's cool I'm glad to see that they're that they haven't like haven't given up on it so that's awesome yeah but that's for me man like it's been that like I said I've been just

[SPEAKER_02]: busy just getting all the stuff from packs and trying to get it all lined up like like freaking Vin the third person here on CFG was has already done four articles on like all the amazing stuff and I'm just like.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, it's insane.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm just like wow I need to catch up.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Victorix controller that was coming out the pro controller was coming out for the Xbox.

[SPEAKER_02]: We got it at EVO for the for the for the Xbox, but then they were going to mail out one for the PlayStation one.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was going to be sent to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll be able to do a review for that.

[SPEAKER_02]: So unfortunately they ran out.

[SPEAKER_02]: I had to wait a month and they were they they said, hey, good news.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're you're going to be delivering it on Friday this week.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like awesome.

[SPEAKER_02]: So Friday comes they said it was delivered go outside nothing there and I'm like Okay, so let me contact FedEx FedEx says like oh, though was delivered It was signed by this one person and they got to show the confirmation and I was like this is not me This is the wrong location.

[SPEAKER_02]: So where's my package?

[SPEAKER_02]: So they're like, oh, we got to investigate.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like

[SPEAKER_02]: Investigate what you got the name you got the location.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's clearly the wrong So so I was assuming I'm this was lost in the mail, but this morning if just magically appeared on my tail on my front door So I was just some what yeah, so either the guy just did it, but yeah, so I just probably got it

[SPEAKER_00]: going to mess around with it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to mess around with it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have to do this?

[SPEAKER_02]: And then I also was like clearing out when I was packing my stuff because I just finally unpacked for from packs like two days ago.

[SPEAKER_02]: This, this, this bag that they gave me for this game of like the of a cat a cat bag.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, where the hell did I say this?

[SPEAKER_02]: It was from this game called Project, I believe it was called like Project Alpha or something.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then I like Adam or Adam.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Project Adam.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's what Adam you played it.

[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't get a chance to play it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, played it.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was actually pretty fun.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was good, but I was like, yeah, Lord, that was like, that was probably the wildest thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you will never pick that up or anyone's going to use this bag for anything, but we'll see.

[SPEAKER_02]: But no, no, I had a time my life over at packs.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like had great, great interactions with people and folks and stuff and have some, have some plans and stuff for the near future because of it.

[SPEAKER_02]: So this is going to be cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: And was playing was going to play some token, but didn't get into the beta, which is fine.

[SPEAKER_02]: And, but then I was, but now I'm getting hyped for Dragon Ball, Kikishan Squadra that comes out this Wednesday.

[SPEAKER_06]: I have no idea.

[SPEAKER_02]: So, but yeah, but as I know, the other one that we talking about here me talk about the games I'm going to be playing the rest of this week, so we're going to talk about the games we talked about the games we talked about last week, so let's go through the normal rigor mode that we like to do each and every week.

[SPEAKER_02]: So each of us.

[SPEAKER_02]: chooses a topic of discussion in the world of video games, the topic would or could be a game itself or something that happened in the gaming industry and we do not want to talk about amongst ourselves.

[SPEAKER_02]: We want you, the listeners, and viewers on Twitch and on YouTube to be a part of the conversation as always.

[SPEAKER_02]: So if there's something that you're wanting to chime in about whatever we talk about by all means it's type it inside the chat and we will go from there.

[SPEAKER_02]: So

[SPEAKER_02]: Today, I am wanting to talk about a game that I was actually a little bit hyped about because because one of the studios, very underrated studio called Io Interactive.

[SPEAKER_02]: They are the creators of Hitman, Hitman Assassins, and the World of Assassins.

[SPEAKER_02]: They got the IP for 007.

[SPEAKER_02]: They showed a small sneak peek of it at the summer game fest and I was like, okay, this is gonna, this looks, this gives me unchartered vibes But then they recently this week they released a 30 minute trailer or they called it an hour, but really it was like 30 to 45 minutes of what you can do in this game

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'd have to say, it's hitting the expectations that I was expecting for it.

[SPEAKER_02]: So basically, so Iowa Interactive got the rights to this.

[SPEAKER_02]: They are doing a melt of the 007 world, but it has the same kind of systems that you would remember from any of the

[SPEAKER_02]: hitman universe so like but so there's different routes to get to the same destinations and things like that but then it's more story-driven than what the hitman universe is but there's so much stuff that you could do one of the craziest things that I saw that that really got that got to me was the the way that you were fighting like like I don't know if I mean it's it's it's safe to say everyone here plays played on Chartered right yeah yeah

[SPEAKER_04]: to be fair, I only played on Charter 4 and I didn't finish it.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is the way to get a list of games.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is the game.

[SPEAKER_06]: Give me something else.

[SPEAKER_06]: Give me something else.

[SPEAKER_06]: It can be comparable to something else.

[SPEAKER_06]: Give me something else.

[SPEAKER_02]: Have you played Super Mario Brothers?

[SPEAKER_03]: Jesus.

[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, yeah, it's obvious like I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a it's an actually game.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's the closest to really to be honest.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's is a uncharted even looks like Nathan Drake in a way But yeah, but still, but still, it's just like yeah, so the way that the battle system wasn't uncharted, which was like, you know, throwing like, you know, a kind of clean and fluid, but at the same time

[SPEAKER_02]: It was like you could do things like throw the weapon at them at the weapon like throw the gun if it's empty that at the person you could shoot the canisters down and it causes a trail of fire that can cause another explosion like underneath the car and stuff like which I have never seen that like you know done consistently and this and this is a demo so I to be fair I don't you may want to take it as a grain of salt, but how everything and stuff is in this game let me see if I could skip ahead a little bit to more of an action scene.

[SPEAKER_02]: Then I was like, oh my god dude, this is going to be a fun game to play.

[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.

[SPEAKER_02]: It already looks better than mine's eye.

[SPEAKER_01]: We weren't ranking this up, you know what, it doesn't count because troll is a guess.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we didn't do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there was no reason for it to come in.

[SPEAKER_02]: It made sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's made sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, yeah, so the game looks like it's going to be like how it's start how it looks right now Looks like it's it's a day one for me.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's that's how that's that's all hyped.

[SPEAKER_02]: I am about it and you already know how frugal I am so So yeah, it's it's so I kind of want to get you all taken like if y'all heard anything about it if y'all watched it or like what what do you think about uh about 007

[SPEAKER_04]: I guess I'll take the ball here.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm pretty convinced.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm probably going to play five minutes of this game, but it looks amazing.

[SPEAKER_04]: Me, I'm a backlier than it.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's a close bandit.

[SPEAKER_04]: These games, but no, it looks cool.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm interesting to see, you know, me.

[SPEAKER_04]: I love customization.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I really want to see what it is because the customization in terms of appearance and also play style because

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, these type of games, I think they drive on a, you can able to play different ways, not just like narrative story wise, but just, you know, abilities and guns and bills and we'll see, I need to see more, I watch like half of their trailer and the back of and I need to see more.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, fair enough, but though, what about, what about you, poppers, maybe?

[SPEAKER_01]: a little bit on the meeting to see I'm more so interested with the narrative like I really want to know if this is going to be like one of those choice-based games because that will be the deciding factor like I'm going to get the game probably not day one, but I still want to play the game.

[SPEAKER_01]: but I don't know if it's gonna be one of those where I end up making a YouTube video about it where I make all of these terrible choices and stress out anybody who's watching the video on purpose or if it's gonna be one of those things that I play in the background just to chill and talk about or my brother like I do with some other games.

[SPEAKER_06]: like you would like you would do the bad choices just to troll the game and that's how you would that's hilarious that was that was that was yeah it's great it's crazy think that's standing out the most to me is a dynamic mechanics within the gameplay that I'm seeing if it's like and I get it it's a demo but if it's really as dynamic as this throughout the game like

[SPEAKER_06]: This could be game of the year, man.

[SPEAKER_06]: Like, actually, again, the story is gonna play a huge part in that as well and I think it's important because like, I don't know about you guys.

[SPEAKER_06]: The last bond that I watched was probably like you said, like, golden night.

[SPEAKER_06]: The last one I watched was with Pierce Bros.

[SPEAKER_06]: And then I even watched the other dude, Daniel Craig.

[SPEAKER_06]: I know I saw the promotions and stuff like that.

[SPEAKER_06]: I just never got around to watching them.

[SPEAKER_04]: You should watch GTA type of trash.

[SPEAKER_04]: See what?

[SPEAKER_04]: You know, when you're dying GTA and you get that little flash, what do you know, off the I saw that little white flash.

[SPEAKER_04]: Did I do that off GTA?

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I'm just saying.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, it definitely, no, I totally agree, but now it like, like, okay, so this is what happens.

[SPEAKER_01]: But what I found particularly surprising is that if you go on steam and look at the different stats for games, it's pretty high up there for pre-orders.

[SPEAKER_01]: The network test this time, we were able to invite friends to play along, but

[SPEAKER_01]: For example, you can have custom lobbies with up to 12 players, which is huge considering teams on a racing we only had like nine.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, only on like nine.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think it could do 12, but the servers would kind of crash right after that.

[SPEAKER_01]: What I enjoy, this is my second time for participating in a beta because I got into the close beta earlier this year back in February.

[SPEAKER_01]: they've made a lot of changes.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really like the gadget UI change.

[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of hope they go back to the other one back and kind of understand the new UI change because I have to think about accessibility here and there are some people who are just they need everything to guide them where they need to go.

[SPEAKER_01]: Not only are you getting a roster with 23 characters, you're getting free, second IP DLC characters.

[SPEAKER_01]: The other DLC characters that you want are paid for.

[SPEAKER_01]: So if you

[SPEAKER_01]: cut the cost from all those, you know, Sega IP DLC characters, the actual game itself it probably would be like 50, maybe 60, and the remaining, you know, whatever that brings it up to $70 is where the DLC characters and all the extra stages are going to come from.

[SPEAKER_01]: You have a great amount of stages.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have 15 different cross world stages.

[SPEAKER_01]: So you're technically playing on 39 different tracks and comparison to what the 32 that comes with Mario Kart.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trying to make a huge comparison here, but people always compare it into people also say, oh, you know, it plays like Mario Kart.

[SPEAKER_01]: It does it because the items in the game, use Flash to come from other Sega IPs.

[SPEAKER_01]: The box and glove comes from Super Monkey Ball.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Shuriken, Shinobi just came out with their reboot to continue the franchise with art of vengeance.

[SPEAKER_01]: it's it's so many different things that are in this game that makes it so uniquely Sonic and Sega that anyone who says it plays like Mario Kart has not played this game I think people actually didn't play the beta that is true and and I kind of bated I kind of bated that that responds with the price point because

[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, for me, I'm like, my car world definitely isn't worth $80, but for someone buying my car world, you know what you're getting, you're getting a my car game that you know is going to be supported for the next six, seven years.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, we say the same about selling across worlds now, we don't know, you know, so if you're going to ship out that money now, you know, how much content you're going to get over the next five six years because, you know, Nintendo will support Mario Kart through and through so even though it does, it is a steep price if that's only the only game you're going to buy in your household, you know, you're getting content for a long period of time.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, my issue is with the, with that is, is that, like, I, I, I mean, you can't help, but think if, if you, if you threw money away or if it's, if it was worth it to the level of 80 bucks, but the biggest thing I have with it is that, with Mario Kart, Mark, Mark, Mark world, the, the process of what they've been going through, like what they're doing just to force you to play the way that they want you to play is what I really don't appreciate when it comes to that to that to that kind of deal, because like what made Mario Kart,

[SPEAKER_02]: eight was eight I don't remember is eight the previous one yeah what's the last one what made eight soul freaking great was the stuff that they were adding into some of that was existing I mean the game came out it's like over ten years old really well when you talk about when they first initially came out but like

[SPEAKER_02]: they listen to every like they they're like okay we're just going to do this for fun we're going to add new tracks with add new characters you're just going to suddenly do all of this but then in world when they decided to say we're not going to we're going to get rid of most of the circular tracks and we're which basically they I think they surprised when they did that uh there are uh it's

[SPEAKER_02]: So it opened up the fact that people like the circular tracks more than they did they anticipate it because most people like playing circular tracks So they could do crazy stunts and stuff like that as opposed to the the point A to point B You know the the the the the crop the Grand Prix kind of stuff and then when they when they when they when they When there was a way to get around that to do the the the the small amounts circular tracks that were in that game And then they found a way to say nope you can't do it this way you got to do it.

[SPEAKER_02]: have to do Grand Prix tracks.

[SPEAKER_02]: It robs me a little way off a little way on this, you know, like, it's just kind of like, if they're going to force you to do it to play the way that they want you to play the what's the damn point at this level.

[SPEAKER_02]: So like, I've never played Sonic, the Sonic Cross World, I'm planning on I am planning on picking this one up because it looks every time I'm going to see see pop playing this.

[SPEAKER_01]: They have been pretty straightforward with how they do updates and how long.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sonic Shadow Generations, they gave us a little roadmap for that when for when the DLC for that would drop after the movie.
