[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like I'm slugging behind, but I did not Because I've been very proactive this year with you know doing a little bit of work each day So as I worked today, I'm like dang I finished this stuff pretty quick But then I remember get on Monday.

[SPEAKER_04]: I did this on Tuesday.

[SPEAKER_04]: I did that Wednesday.

[SPEAKER_04]: I did this and then you know Thursday Everything came crashing down Yeah, I was I've been out from Thursday to like in the evening yesterday, but

[SPEAKER_04]: do it a lot better yeah a ton of water and vitamins helped my other vitamins came in so I was a little worried I was like is my respawn got to come in in time but I was still able to finish to sponge Bob festival

[SPEAKER_04]: because I was afraid I was going to miss it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I got my special alarm platform, you know, the his little alarm, the giant one, the SpongeBob festival is.

[SPEAKER_01]: What is that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, some cross worlds.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's the him and Patrick are playable characters and son of Grayson Carlson.

[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, wow.

[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_07]: That's random.

[SPEAKER_07]: Do you get the characters like do you earn them or like get to like buy them?

[SPEAKER_04]: So SpongeBob and Patrick, they're paid DLC, free DLC are all the SEGA IP, so like Joker from Persona had to name EQ, Hibon, they just announced nights.

[SPEAKER_04]: Whisper in, I forgot the other goes name, Tangle, I think Tangle was the other person thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I, from Super Monkey Ball as the upcoming free DLC, I'm in, you know, Mega Man and Teenage Teen Ninja Turtles and the Avatar are coming as well.

[SPEAKER_04]: But we don't, oh yeah, Mega Man and Pro-Deman are the two characters that gonna have.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm super excited for that.

[SPEAKER_04]: What I like is that with all the DLC characters they've added they get this cute little festival you get a cool car if they're I think it's only paid DLC where you get a new track and then

[SPEAKER_04]: some remix music so you can, I had heard the sponge Bob song in my play through yet, which might be a good thing because those races were pretty intense.

[SPEAKER_04]: And here you are hearing, hearing the little band join a background, definitely will not help the intensity of those races, but overall it's been pretty dope.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's got that's awesome.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, but you do a pop.

[SPEAKER_01]: yo the person that always gets it looks like he's about to have a heart attack every every weekend and during football season because his team is just on a rollercoaster thing like an inadvertent winning streak to call it just came doing it to keep him through please please w it is it's the five star general of the 80 bitty smitty committee I got smitty in the third scene what's going on my dude

[SPEAKER_07]: As you alluded to had a hard tag with the bear's game, they pull it out, beat the Steelers.

[SPEAKER_07]: Um, game wise, I enjoyed.

[SPEAKER_07]: I finished up dispatch that I really enjoyed that.

[SPEAKER_07]: That was a lot of, that was a lot of fun, um, just to play through and, and all that.

[SPEAKER_07]: So that was cool and, um, who did you end up being with in that one?

[SPEAKER_01]: I tried being with both.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you tried on you with two.

[SPEAKER_02]: Why don't I'm playing both sides on the fence?

[SPEAKER_07]: I was like a slick Rick man, I swear, yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, it was good play through though, it was a lot of fun, so I enjoyed it.

[SPEAKER_07]: I knew I would to when I first saw it, I was like, oh, this seems awesome.

[SPEAKER_07]: So Kudos on their success for that because it healed a lot of fun to place.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's amazing that that game has gotten over sold 2 million units, that's that's great.

[SPEAKER_07]: It's great, you know, I love it, I love it, give for them.

[SPEAKER_07]: I love games like that.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, and it's like it's funny because like that one focused a lot on their story rather than their their their I mean the game mechanics were fun, but it wasn't like There it wasn't rocket science game.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it was just simple, you know things that allow you to do during the narrative the most important thing was a story and I really I really did enjoy it.

[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, now that's awesome man.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad you enjoyed playing it

[SPEAKER_01]: I was I really wish I saw the I saw it saw your choices.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just kid just a bad to what you chose Yeah, yeah, no, it was good.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, as for me, I've just I've been messing around trying to figure out how to play super same for Giga Vegeta in squadra been having been

[SPEAKER_01]: irritated to craziness because of it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then I kind of pop back in the rivals because I'm really trying to get to a certain rank so I can get something specifically.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I've come to the understanding that I now suck at that game.

[SPEAKER_01]: So it is, uh, it stinks, but yeah, but then I'm also, I also started my playthrough of Expedition 33 again.

[SPEAKER_01]: So nice.

[SPEAKER_01]: So cuz like I wanted I decided after talking to a friend like I really need a hundred percent this game And this gonna be my first RPG I would ever try mine to try though.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm sorry I took it back persona with persona five was the one but I haven't I haven't hundred percent an RPG in a while So I was like this is the good one to do so

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we afford to it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so look forward to that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but um other than that, I mean, there's that really wasn't it really wasn't a very truly eventful week.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank god.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go with my topic first and then I'm going to talk about that this past week the golden joystick awards which is really the big the first of the big awards for video games that happened this week

[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, wow, and that happened or the later at the last week and who's to say that, like, I don't think anyone would surprise.

[SPEAKER_01]: Clare obscure exhibitions in the three sweat all the, the, the, the, the, the, most of their categories that they were nominated in.

[SPEAKER_01]: So they won seven awards there, but some of these things had were very interesting and then I think.

[SPEAKER_01]: some categories of it was actually something that I think that the game awards really do because some of these like I agree with and some of them I really don't and so I'm just going to go down the line and show you the bit the big winners of it and tell me what you think about uh tell me if you agree or disagree with it I mean we don't have to go through each one but we'll we'll go through

[SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, so no surprise, best storytelling, Claire of Secure, the Expedition 33, one, uh, one that hands down, um, uh, best multiplayer was peak.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I still haven't played that game.

[SPEAKER_01]: Have you, have you, have you, have you, have you played it?

[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, but I've seen it, but it makes, it makes sense.

[SPEAKER_04]: From, from what I've seen, it definitely makes sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cuz like because the nominees of that was Battlefield 6 Elden Ring night reign split fiction Mario Kart world in rematch And I think a peek at them all that that's I mean, it's awesome that they did.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it looks fun.

[SPEAKER_01]: It does like fun though

[SPEAKER_01]: uh... let's see best visual design was clear obscure exhibition three best indie game which i am surprised was blue prints blue prints is a good game but to say that things yeah to say that that beat freaking uh... silk song is crazy

[SPEAKER_01]: to me.

[SPEAKER_01]: So if you if you care, the nominees were dead by daylight held divers to Naraka Blade points, sads factory, Call of Duty Warzone, Marvel rivals, Fortnight, Apex Legends, Rainbow Six, GTA Online and Warframe.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think they had way too many people in these nominations.

[SPEAKER_01]: And

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, and Marvel rivals is not even a year old.

[SPEAKER_01]: So how is it still playing?

[SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking that this is like older games has been around for a while, but I digress still playing award for mobile was Pokemon go best remake and remaster was elder scrolls for oblivion remaster I haven't played that version have any of y'all played that

[SPEAKER_01]: I've never played another scrolls, you know, I've never played Eso, but I kind of don't count that, but yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: of nominees, but there were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 16 games that they put on this list for most wanted game to compete.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.

[SPEAKER_04]: Was Kingdom Hearts 4 on the list?

[SPEAKER_04]: You guys would just give an award for like the best reveal trailer.

[SPEAKER_04]: Ubisoft has just showed off a game titled T-mates.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, there's a lot of trigger words there, you know, Ubisoft.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I.

[SPEAKER_04]: A new game.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, which one is talking about?

[SPEAKER_04]: I hope you saw this show and all teammates a new R&D game experience that utilizes generative AI.

[SPEAKER_04]: They see the scribe the use of Gen AI as revolutionary or as a revolutionary in games.

[SPEAKER_04]: The exact quote being generative with AI is a

[SPEAKER_04]: as big a revolution for games as the shift to 3D, where making great strikes and applying generative AI to high value use cases that bring tangible benefits to our players and teams.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's as big of a revolution for our industry as the shift to 3D, and we have everything to lead on this front.

[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have any, I haven't seen anything play.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've only seen images or

[SPEAKER_04]: Um, apparently the game has being developed by the team behind Neo and PC.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if anybody's familiar with that game, um, the company has also said that the demo is meant to prove that, uh, generative AI driven gameplay can shape a new generation of more interactive and engaging games.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now, me personally as someone who uses AI and this is like non-derative AI, um,

[SPEAKER_04]: tools to gather, collect data, to organize, to do recommendations, to do the sort of filter out different processes for things.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't trust AI to build an interactive and engaging game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I did read that at least when I was looking into it because when I saw the initial announcement it was just like Ubisoft CEO says, you know, sort of AI is great or something like that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, all right, I need to read more into this when I'm like in a better headspace and not like rolling around and bed from exhaustion.

[SPEAKER_04]: But the game is a first person shooter.

[SPEAKER_04]: Apparently the AI tools supposedly lets it adapt to voice commands from the players, allowing the NPCs to respond in real time.

[SPEAKER_04]: Which is interesting, but I'm not sure how that's going to work.

[SPEAKER_04]: It kind of reminds me of like when you're telling Siri or Cortana, whatever.

[SPEAKER_04]: device you have that has a high on it when you're gaming a command and it doesn't in real time.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how well that's going to translate over into a game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't see this game doing very well and it makes it makes me so bad for a detain that was working behind this game because you don't know how some of these companies have been in the industry.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know, game didn't do well.

[SPEAKER_04]: We're laying all off, you know, we didn't get any money.

[SPEAKER_04]: We can't keep you on.

[SPEAKER_04]: I want to know what you two thought about this application of AI and a game where apparently it's supposed to give players Creativity and play but like I've already said like AI has always been like a data thing for me.

[SPEAKER_04]: It can't Enhance anything which just makes my work life a lot easier.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's funny to me.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've never really understand why companies, I understand why companies are doing what they're doing with AI because it's a very a lot less inexpensive way to do certain repetitive tasks.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, the thing that I will never understand is why they are trying to push the AI to gaming community when gaming communities have quite loudly and consistently said that we don't want it.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, in the second that we say that this was built by AI, we are pissed.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're angry.

[SPEAKER_01]: Look at what happened to Call of Duty Black Ops 7 and stuff like this and yet they're still

[SPEAKER_01]: middle ground to be like, Oh, this one's going to be this one's accepted.

[SPEAKER_01]: This one's accepted.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we can we should we could put we'll push through to the masses and make it become successful.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's always going to be a fight for this kind of this kind of thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: And and I took a look at the pictures that you're seeing that you show me.

[SPEAKER_01]: This reminds me of marathon.

[SPEAKER_01]: This looks like marathon in a way, and what is this?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and if it's called teammates, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's called, the code is called teammates.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll put it on the, and the deal.

[SPEAKER_04]: Apparently the NPCs respond to the voice player.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's like no there's not going to be a scenario where it's going to be accepted and I don't understand why especially a company pardon pardon my French who be soft is a is saying the stupid it like is is trying to put this in not and everyone throws and then they try to expect us to be successful.

[SPEAKER_01]: But they need to stop leaning on this so much that when people are saying we hate this you don't double down on this it's so ridiculous I think you guys make it makes a good point

[SPEAKER_07]: He says the only I accept in a game is AI for NPCs where they can learn to adapt your gameplay to raise a challenge otherwise keep it out and like that kind of to me like I think that's cool and like almost reminds me of like the nemesis system, which I think is dumb that that's been you know, I mean suck behind a patent that'll never get used and it's about to be sold off actually.

[SPEAKER_07]: But.

[SPEAKER_07]: I just don't know, I feel so weird about AI because I totally use AI in things and like I think in some instances it's okay, but other instances and there's always going to be the thing about AI, there's always going to be a human touch that's needed with it.

[SPEAKER_07]: What are they?

[SPEAKER_07]: Wordsmiths, not wordsmiths, engineers, AI engineers, like, you know, they know how to, like, they know what to say to make it get results that they're looking for, basically.

[SPEAKER_07]: And to me, something like this too, when it comes to it, because I think Elon Musk was talking about doing a game all with AI as well.

[SPEAKER_07]: And to me, it's like,

[SPEAKER_07]: I mean essentially especially large scale models like this if you're buying into this aren't you essentially jumping into this aren't you just essentially like it's just like we are the product right we're just teaching it to be able to become more sophisticated and do more things and that's what they're leveraging to be able to you know me and like it's it's a weird like I don't like I don't like it very weird no totally great and I'm so conflicted about AI

[SPEAKER_04]: in general did some things i'm like all right yeah i could see that and you know oh yeah that's a great tool to be able to x y z but in other instances is like well that's just wrong just you know i mean or like this uh this as well uh believe it would be soft was also uh caught with air art found in uh i know one seventeen packs from uh Ramana where uh

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't recall if it was read it or some article, but I do recall someone being like some of the senators in the back of his painting are missing their heads and you know, they did some more digging.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just like, oh, all this artwork I hear is AI, I'm like, oh my god.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, this is what makes it, this is what makes it really kind of annoying is that I don't think everyone is not against the idea of AI like like what you're saying, but like everyone there's a certain threshold where it's acceptable.

[SPEAKER_01]: But the reach that most of these companies are going to with AI is where it's unacceptable.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like what they're doing and especially when you're seeing on the back-end sides of what companies are doing and are pivoting to to to to take care of AI and stuff.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like

[SPEAKER_01]: So infuriating and then that then at the same time turn around and say oh we're gonna be we're making this Oh can't wait then wonder why the game doesn't sell after they put in all that money in that effort of Something that was never that people were openly saying to their face.

[SPEAKER_01]: We don't want it because of this is the reasons of this.

[SPEAKER_01]: So you know what yeah

[SPEAKER_01]: At this point, it would be self that just does how to do one thing, one thing right, and that's falling flat on their face, almost all this stuff and releasing mediocre stuff, nine times out of ten, so it's not surprising, but they're wanting to decide to announce this, but they can't say that they can't say that they were not warned or have people be aware that they are not interested in this kind of crappy ass topic or a project.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was missing, especially with, you know, rising concern is that there's no regulation for air, especially here in the US.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Japan has already, I think they just passed another a new act for AI that supports its development, but also addresses the risks.

[SPEAKER_04]: So they like, they have a section that's just like, hey,

[SPEAKER_04]: No copyright immaterial for AI training, like, not at all.

[SPEAKER_04]: I make sense.

[SPEAKER_04]: They also have like a personal information protection all where it's just like they're actually governing the use of people's personal data and AI development and employment.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like that's something that we need here because that's where most of the concerns about AI are over here is the use of copyright immaterial, personal information.

[SPEAKER_04]: as well as, you know, other specific rules where the people that are responsible for developing AI are also responsible for managing possible risks.

[SPEAKER_04]: So like, using it in medical equipment or financial trading, all that stuff like, they're just like, hey, you all can do it.

[SPEAKER_04]: You can do this, but you better follow these rules or we'll shut you down.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's what we do.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just, oh, man.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, it's, it's sad.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's, but it's like, uh, yeah, I, we, I mean, we're going to get there.

[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it's inevitable at this point.

[SPEAKER_01]: Not only that, though, too, I also think that, you know, right now, I feel that what AI is is equivalent to the internet bubble on when we were growing up because you know, like, you know, it's a lot different than what we were, what we were accustomed to a long ass time ago.

[SPEAKER_01]: And, and I think right now we're in the, we're in the, we're in the Wild Wild West right now when it comes to AI and technology and stuff, because there's no guidelines or anything like that, you know, that's that's happening.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a, yeah, it's just a matter of time when, like you said, when Europe is going to put their foot down, I think that's where we're going to be going through.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be following aside from that, you know, so it's crazy.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's like remember last month there was a AWS went down and then Yeah, it went after that.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's just Oh, it was AWS and Cloud fair in the same day.

[SPEAKER_04]: I remember because Yeah, I was like, you do twitchcon.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just like, uh, oh, I'm going to see know the Wi-Fi is here.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I hear these people talking about how they could get their flight change because the internet was down.
